Supporting those who serve solano county
Solano Family First Responders provides mental health, wellness, and family support services to the heroes who keep our community safe.
Our mission
Our vision
To provide culturally competent mental health, family, and wellness support to Solano County’s first responders and their loved ones — ensuring that no responder or family member suffers alone.
A resilient and connected first responder community where every responder and family has access to care, community, and hope.
our story
Solano Family First Responders was founded by local law enforcement and community members who recognized the unique challenges that first responders and their families face. After years of seeing colleagues struggle in silence, we came together to create a space where responders could find connection, healing, and practical support.
Since launching, SFFR has grown into a nonprofit serving firefighters, law enforcement, dispatchers, correctional staff, and their families throughout Solano County. Through peer support, wellness programs, and community partnerships, we’re building a stronger, healthier first responder community — one family at a time.
our leadership
President
Jason Brackett
Jason Brackett is a career law enforcement officer with over 14 years of service, including four years as a correctional officer and ten years as a deputy sheriff. He co-founded Solano Family First Responders in 2019 with a vision to bring first responders and their families together outside of work — creating opportunities for connection, support, and decompression away from the stress of the job. Today, Jason leads SFFR’s operations, event planning, and community outreach efforts, helping the organization grow into a countywide network supporting the mental health and wellness of all first responders and their families.
Vice-President
Cade Beckwith
Cade Beckwith has served with the Fairfield Police Department for more than 25 years and has played an active role in mentoring future first responders through the Fairfield Public Safety Academy. Since joining SFFR in 2021, Cade has become an integral part of the team, lending his leadership and steady presence to the organization’s growth. Known as the group’s “voice of reason,” Cade helps coordinate major events like the annual golf tournament and supports daily operations that keep SFFR running smoothly.
Secretary
Lauren Coughlan
Lauren Coughlan is a dispatch supervisor with the Vacaville Police Department and has served as SFFR’s secretary since 2020. A certified Yoga for First Responders instructor, Lauren leads SFFR’s yoga and wellness sessions, helping responders manage stress and strengthen resilience. In addition to her wellness work, she coordinates auction items, assists with event logistics, and actively promotes SFFR’s mission throughout the community.
Treasurer
Shawna Stockton
Shawna Stockton serves as SFFR’s treasurer, where she maintains the organization’s financial records, accounts, and compliance reporting. Married to a sergeant with the Solano County Sheriff’s Office, Shawna brings both professional skill and personal understanding to her role. She plays a key part in coordinating logistics, securing donations, and ensuring SFFR’s finances and filings remain accurate and up to date. As the organization’s registered agent, Shawna helps keep operations running smoothly behind the scenes.
